Our Mission

The mission of the Specialty Care Clinic is to improve HIV/AIDS patients’ quality and duration of life by providing comprehensive high-quality, cost-efficient outpatient care in a collaborative relationship with the community.

Our Team

The team at the Specialty Care Clinic includes nurse practitioners, registered nurses, a medical assistant, case managers, AIDS Drug Assistance Programs (ADAP) specialist and client service assistants. Dr. Elliot Raizes, an infectious diseases physician, has served as the medical director for the Specialty Care Clinic since 2001.

What We Do

The Specialty Care Clinic provides comprehensive primary care and case management services for individuals living with HIV/AIDS. This care includes physical examinations, laboratory testing, prescription medication including anti-retroviral therapy, prophylaxis and treatment of opportunistic infections, management of HIV-related conditions, immunizations and preventive services, and referrals to other healthcare specialists when needed.

Each patient at our clinic has their own case manager to identify and address any barriers to care or medical and non-medical needs. Case managers can assist with arranging transportation or providing referrals for other social services such as substance abuse treatment, counseling, and patient support groups.
