“Vax back to school” clinic at Barrow County Health Department

When: Monday, August 2, 2021 • 8:30am to 12noon and 1pm to 6:30pm

             NO APPOINTMENT NEEDED

Where: Barrow Health Department, downtown Winder adjacent to Barrow County Tag Office (15 Porter St E)

For Who: Barrow students PreK thru 12th grade

Services Offered: Required and Recommended vaccines age-appropriate, Hearing, Dental, Vision screenings, for new students to Barrow County transfer of the previous history of vaccines to required Georgia Form ( you will need a copy of your past vaccine record)

What do I need to bring: The health department accepts most insurance. Parents need to be present for consent, provide insurance card for those who have private or state coverage such as Medicaid and Peachcare.  For families with insurance policies that do not cover vaccines or those with no insurance students will qualify for VFC vaccines with an administrative fee.

NO CHILD TURNED AWAY FOR VACCINES FOR INABILITY TO PAY.

Fees: Cost of Hearing, Vision & Dental screening (for those with no insurance) $50.00, transfer of history of vaccines for certificate $10.00

COVID Vaccines: Covid 19 vaccines are recommended not required for school for anyone 12 and up. All three vaccines will be offered to adult family members and Pfizer for those 12 and up, FREE, NO COST or insurance information required. Gift cards are available for any family member who chooses COVID vaccine while supplies of gift cards last.

Covid safety precautions: Masks are requested, in Barrow County our vaccine rate is 32%, so more than half of Barrow community is unvaccinated. Social Distancing in clinic and groups of over two may be asked to wait in car if facility is at capacity.
