As part of our DOHC (Diabetes, Obesity, Hypertension & Cardiac Disease) Prevention program, each health department will be offering monthly educational and support sessions/classes. They will review the high blood sugar problem (pre-diabetes/diabetes) and the use of a low-carb diet to reduce those risks (as well as hypertension, obesity and other chronic conditions). Repeat attendance is encouraged, as a means to support each other and offer insight to new people.
Looking for the slides or videos mentioned in class or presentation? Visit the Diabetes and Obesity Page.
A general schedule is below – be sure to visit our Facebook pages or call the health department to confirm a class will be held (in the case of holiday closing or other scheduling issues).

Presentations start at 5:30pm (unless otherwise stated in the Facebook post or flier) and last about an hour.
